Sharon L.G. Contreras, Ph.D.

I hold a Doctorate in Networked Systems from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC), and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Telematics and Computer Engineering from ITAM. My doctoral research focuses on adaptive mobile edge computing systems for machine learning applications, integrating wireless communication, edge computing, and task-aware decision-making. I employ deep reinforcement learning and semantic logic to optimize real-time inference, with implementations on NVIDIA Jetson platforms using ROS and TensorRT for data collection, system deployment, and validation.
